Transition to Work program is a a short term program that aims to develop positive employment outcomes for school leavers who have the ability to transition to employment within a 2 year period.
The program supports young people with a disability to develop the skills needed to move into employment, vocational, education and training or higher education.
To do this we offer:
Individual Transitionn Plan
Pre-employment skills training
Travel training
Work experience program
Life skills development
Assistance in resume preparation
Referrals to open employment and business services
Outcomes of the program include:
Development of job interview skills
Development of a skill base for the workforce
Development of work goals
Achieve greater levels of independence and self reliance
To be eligible for Transition to Work program you need to:
Be a school leaver
Have a disability
Meet the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC) entry criteria for Transition to Work.
