TABISS
(Training and Behavioural Intervention Support Service)
Meeting the needs of non-government organisations and families who support an individual with a disability that has complex needs.
Our philosophy is based on empowering and equipping (where possible) people with a disability so as to improve their quality of life and maximie their independence.

Our Program
The TABISS program offers two distinct services that organisations, people with a disability, families and carers can access. These are:
1) Training and development services for families, carers and non-government organisations including the provision of:
 
customised training
group training
clinical disability practice forums (available to practitioners)
2) Behaviour management services for people with a disability with potential or existing challenging behaviours, including assistance with:
 
behaviour assessments
customised behaviour plans
liaison & consulation
family support.

 

 

To access the behaviour management service individuals must:
be 0-65 years of age
have a disability
present with a challenging behaviour
live within the boundaries of the Cumberland/Prospect local planning area
live with family, a carer, or an accommodation service provided by a non-government organisation.
To access training and development services, individuals and organisations must:
provide services and/or support to individuals with challenging behaviours
be located with in the boundaries of the Cumberland/Prospect local planning area.
 
If you are outside of the funded areas and wish to receive training services, a referral for fee for service will be considered.
