Support and Training Services
As part of our commitment to the empowerment of people with a disability and the gaining of independence in the community, Interaction Disability Services has a Support and Training program.
Available to help people with a disability living in the community, the program is a support base for an autonomous lifestyle. High quality programming and support is provided to people with a disability through five models of service:
1) Intensive Programming
An extremely flexible program based on the individual needs of the person with a disability. We provide help with travel training, living skills, parenting support and behaviour management.
2) Service Co-ordination
Allocations of a quantity of hours for the purpose of providing case management to ensure client networks are enhanced.
3) Crisis Intervention
Short term direct support and case management are provided at times of an incident or change in a person’s life that would potentially put them at risk.
4) Direct Support
Hands on assistance for people with a disability to fulfill their daily living activities.
5) Training
We provide staff, family members, people with a disability and community organizations with specialised training to allow better support and empowerment of people with a disability.

Interaction Disability Services also has a full time Psychologist on staff who works closely with Support Training Services. Consultation and clinical support are provided when required.
We help individuals with a disability maintain an independent role in the community by providing support when and where it is needed.
