Post School Options

Post School Options program provides flexible activities and interests for people with a disability to enhance independent living skills and to create opportunities to access and participate in the local community.

The program assists school leavers to:
Acquire and apply personal, social and daily living skills necessary for community participation.
Achieve greater levels of independence and self reliance.
Maintain social networks i.e. family and peers.
Access generic services and mainstream groups.
Further individual educational/vocational pursuits.
Achieve appropriate linkages with employment opportunities.
Activities are both centre based and community based and operate from 9:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. Centre based activities include:
Arts and Crafts
Music Appreciation and Drama
Sensory Room
Literacy and Numeracy Class
Independent Living Skills
 
Community based activities can include:
Music Therapy
Ten Pin Bowling
Gym Visits
Library Visits
Swimming
Indoor Cricket
Other recreational activities
